The letter has verses 'borrowed' from a Willie Dixon song, 'I Just Want to Make Love to You' (1954), so occasionally called 'Gone Daddy Gone / I Just Want to Make Love to You'. Contains two xylophone solos, which gives a bizarre istrumental to the music. In 2006, the singer Gnarls Barkley released a cover of this song for their debut album St. Elsewhere. It was also used in advertising and integrated the soundtrack of the video game Tony Hawk's Project 8 and Forza Motorsport 2.
